New(ish) Music Review: Skrillex - Bangarang EP

Yeah, it's Skrillex... Review done.

Ok, seriously though, I was really surprised when I listened to the album and the first thing that came to mind was NOT "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites". The EP is still the same Skrillex his fans have come to know and love, but he's managed to mostly escape the standard problem a lot of electronic artistshave, which is basically releasing the same song over and over again under different names. With the exception of "Right on Time", which unfortunately feels a bit too much like Deadmau5 (but is still a good collaboration overall), "Bangarang" is actualy a crisply edited set of tracks that feels genuinely new to me. The only other issue I have with it at this point is that, as always, there aren't enough tracks. All that means though is that Sonny Moore is doing his job and making his fans want more.

Tracklist:

1. Right In
2. Bangarang (Feat. Sirah)
3. Breakin A Sweat (Feat. The Doors)
4. The Devil's Den (Feat. Wolfgang Gartner)
5. Right On Time (Feat. 12th Planet & Kill The Noise)
6. Kyoto (Feat. Sirah)
7. Summit (Feat. Ellie Goulding)
