Tip Thirteen: Guilt by Association

When you start off, a gig is a gig. Take what you can get for the most part, but be careful that you don't end up working for, or with, someone who can taint your name. For example, It would be really bad if you decided to do a concert for Enron in the middle of their fiasco, or if you were seen hanging out with known criminals. Extreme I know, but people judge you by your surroundings. Never lose track of who you are, and where you are.
